Can AI replace much of a traditional web agency?
The code is getting easier. Knowing what to build still isn’t.
What I thought
If a tool can build the website, a lot of the agency’s traditional production work changes.
What I tried
Use real project ideas as the test. Follow the work beyond the first attractive screen, into content, edge cases, revisions, and maintenance.
What actually happened
A useful comparison needs more than a fast first draft. The record needs to include review time, corrections, and how well the finished thing fits the original problem.
What I’d do differently
Define “done” before starting. Compare complete outcomes instead of impressive demos.
Where I am now
Still testing. The interesting question may be what a much smaller team can do well.
