What this is
This is a personal field journal rather than a traditional portfolio or blog. Some parts are finished stories. Some are photographs with only a location attached. Some are projects I’m still trying to understand. The wandering is intentional, but everything now has a permanent place when you want to find it again.
What I’m doing now
I’m helping a friend bring Villa Vagabunda in Mussomeli, Sicily, back to life. I’m building projects including Scenic Sidekick, Chapter Lodge, and The Elkaholic. I’m also digging through years of photographs and trying to preserve more of the stories behind them.
Why Sicily matters
The Caito family comes from Termini Imerese on Sicily’s northern coast. Working on a property in Mussomeli gives me a reason to spend time in the place my family comes from while helping a friend shape something new.
